Seller's Comments:
This is a good truck. After 15 years in the tool business, I have returned to school and am finishing up my college degree at the University of Alabama,
so the truck is available immediately. I have been using the
truck as an office recently, it is a great way to stay organized.
Good cold AC, and being in Alabama, cold AC is a high priority
for us. It is very cold because it is not the standard AC you find in this year P30. It has a heavy-duty high capacity
AC system that Lynch installed. I have heard it is a $10,000 upgrade
new. So, you and your customers will be comfortable!
Truck is ready to go - just come get the keys and drive it home.
It gets 7 -8 mpg, even letting it run all day with the cold
AC on. I also like the LP furnace when it's cold outside, just set the thermostat and
forget it.
The automatic transmission was rebuilt in December 2009 along
with the torque converter. This is a $1,300 rebuild you don't
have to concern yourself with going forward. The engine is not
as old as the truck - it was replaced at 85,000 miles with a
crate engine. I have never had any problems.
Don't let the model year or odometer put you off. This is a good tool truck, and an excellent low-cost way for you to start in the tool business, or if you have outgrown or want to downsize from your current truck. I sold tools for 15 years, and this
was only my second truck. I have "known" this truck
since it was new, when it was a Snap-on truck in my branch.
The dealer sold it to his brother, who was with Matco. I was
with Snap-on at the time I bought it, and then I went independent. So there is some history there, and it has been in the south.
Call me with any questions. I would drive it anywhere.
